2 maxyefremov Garmin 3590 5″ capacitive multi-touch screen
Strong customization options
Powered mount
Exit services
Lifetime map updates included
Lifetime traffic (ad free)
HD traffic reception seems to have improved since initially released on the 3490LMT
POIs can be displayed on the map
Offers several choices of routes
Excellent voice command performance
Extensive junction view and lane assist coverage
Advanced detours allow you to exclude roads from active route
Custom avoidances allow you to exclude roads or areas from all routes
Not as thin as the nuvi 3490LMT Bluetooth sound quality not as good as on the nuvi 2×95 series; slow to connect 8
3 donward Garmin Nuvi 3590LM Good voices, navigation, maps, etc. Easy to use.
Superceded by later model.
Occasional unexpected reboots, especially when entering info to Trip Planner app. Upcoming junctions shown only when route navigation is off. Some map quirks. 7
4 nelu.goia4 Garmin nüvi 3590 LMT -Voice command
-Good build quality
- Search using intersection is difficult to use and it doesn't present viable choices. For example if you type in street name like 1St instead of presenting options which make sense, like 1ST NE, 1ST NW, 1ST SW and 1ST SE, it will present you a bunch of useless options. - Traffic updates is useless in Canada. Even if Calgary is supposed to have pretty good reception the received information is useless. - Red Light cameras information is not free. 7
5 boris.zupancic Garmin 3590 Good display, clear voice, traffic information... speed alert is activating immediately after you reach the speed limit and the % of tolerance cannot be set up 7
6 Trevor.humphreys Garmin Nuvi3590LMT Good easy to use, responsive with clear mapping, good audio and useful pedestrian mode. Spoken commands are limited to apps section and needs to be available all the time. No separate socket for audio if you wanted to listen to downloaded audiobooks or mp3 files privately. 7
7 roland.meier Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT Screen size and quality; very responsive deeply nested menus, eg. re-planning of route with different avoidances requires traversal of many menu levels. Would like custom menu / shortcuts 7
8 snibbo3 Garmin 3590 I am new to this device. So far very pleased with the 5 inch display and features. What appears to be a generic problem -using Garmin Express to load map updates. Get message after long download saying Insufficient Space 4
9 mboser Garmin Nüvi 3590 LMT After I was owning three Navigon devices I decided for this Garmin. Maps for Navigon are only available for limited time, usually for two years, so that you need to buy an upgrade, the same for TMC Premium traffic. With this Garmin Nüvi 3590 LMT you get four times a year new maps for live time, the same with 3D Premium Traffic information. This device offers also subscriptions for live services, whose data will be synchronized via BT connection of Android phone. All overall a nice and reliable device. After I was using for some years Navigon devices, I miss some features in the Garmin nüvi. For example the software and services update and Navigon Fresh are more userfriendly and comfortable than in Garmin. I had several 1000 POIs for Navigon, which I bought for extra costs. Until now I didn't find any converter tools for pom files into the gpx format. According to the live services I was more satisfied with Navigon. When driving abroad there were no roaming charges. When using your Android device abroad you needs to find a dataplan, so that the costs for the live services will not be to high like an europass or worldsim card. Furthermore I miss the google search feature for Navigon live services, which is great. Hope, there will be after the fusion of Garmin and Navigon more Navigon features in Garmin devices available. 5
10 tafkam88 Garmin Nuvi 3590 LMT Nice display, ability to customize (but not enough in my opinion), powered mount, voice command Price, voice command sometimes a bit flaky, necessity for a data plan for the smart functions to work I have a smart phone but no data plan. Would be willing to pay a small yearly fee for data connection like the NuLinks 6
11 mfogg Garmin nuvi 3590LMT *Smart looking device
*Quick GPS fix
* Quality looking maps
* Ability to run extra ymaps
* Turns on/off with car ignition
* Solid windscreen mount
* Comes with FM receiver integrated into power cord.
* Price - especially when you have to pay for add-ons; * Reflective glare can be a issue in certain situations; * Pronunciation of words and abbreviations get lost in translation (Motorway is a classic example) * Lack of spoken speed alert like Mio, Navman etc * Layout of menu could be better 7
12 billbowenjr Garmin nuvi 3590LMT Great all around GPS device No Safety Camera subscription available through Garmin 9
13 ross44 Garmin nuvi 3590LM Great large, clear touchscreen. Good traffic alert system. I have been using a TomTom GPS for 4 years and it has taken me quite a while to get used to the Garmin software/menus Also note that to quote Garmin the nuvi 3500 series will only provide audible speed alerts when the devices locale is set to a European country. If the devices locale is set to any country outside of Europe (including the United States), the device will not provide audible speed alerts. 6
14 sclayton Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT Great screen and good features. Extensive junction view and lane assist coverage plus voice command.
HD traffic reception does not seem to be all that great (in France) and Bluetooth functionality is also less than stellar. 7
15 imdj12850 Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT Outstanding features:
1. Voice command
2. 3D Map
3. Major highway exit ramp actual photo on split screen
4. 5" screen with outstanding graphics
1. POIs not retrievable thru voice Command 2. Limited choice of Voices - available downloadable voices not compatible with the model. 3. Traffic navigator not always accurate. 8
16 gcswrsc Garmin 3590LMT Screen, speed of calc and reroute, Trip Planner, (once you eventually find out that that is where your routes go). Sometime voice misses turning points. Difficult finding waypoints loaded from Base Camp. Could do with a more structured POI contents for custom POIs. 7
17 amedina Garmin Nuvi 3590 LMT Screen size, brightness, contrast. And, loud clear volume. Often, acquiring satellites takes very long, and screen refresh rates are sometimes very slow. Also, Ive found several inaccuracies in the pre-loaded maps. This unit nuvi 1490T, replaces my old nuvi 680, so Ive not yet updated to the latest maps. 7
18 gwnet Garmin 3590LMT OK as GPSs go
Software is good except for Mac inadequacies
Customer Service Software for Mac incomplete Mobile phone volume Map inaccuracies 4
19 van Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT Lighter weight and more compact than TomTom. Thus lesser weight and size to mount. Price is good by comparison to others. Good accesories kit currently on offer gratis. Having to deal with Garmin Australia. I asked them where to and how to obtain Europe mapping. Then I annoyed them by asking a number of other logical questions. A family member purchased it as a present for me and paid a cash price $59 less than RRP. 6
20 diver_318 Garmin GPS MAP76s & Garmin Nuvi 3590 LMT 76s is a very reliable unit with good maps.
Mobile XT being used on an Ipaq
76s getting old now. Slow to find satellites when 1st turned on. Mobile XT much quicker 7
