|
|
Hi, when I download any of the POI's for some reason the are in PHP format and have the "word pad" icon. I can open them and save them as an excel.csv file, but the POI loader tells me it is an invalid format.
any help gratefully recieved for a new man to this stuff!
thanks

| This is probably because your computer has been set to recoginise the poi files and use wordpad as the default opener. You need to go to file associations and change the program from wordpad to mapsourse.

After clicking on the file you wish to download, always select save as
When downloading it says I can open files with Photoshop... hehe
but choosing Save As will save the file as it is called - don't change anything or give it an extension
I use XP and firefox

| ... or change the setting on the way you view the files, Windows explorer, then tools, options and untick hide extensions, that way you can rename the extension to what ever you want.
