I'm interested in the database of PoIs to be found here, but I have been surprised to find that, in the free files I have downloaded, all garmin csv format, all the labels are truncated.
My concern is whether this is poor scripting of the file creation process or whether it is a deliberate impairment of the free files in order to persuade you to the purchase of a subscription. In the latter event, does the addition of the missing letters constitute the 'extended information' or is that much greater.
I am a bit reluctant to subscribe when I can't identify the benefit to be gained by doing so.

| Just to confirm... once registered the downloaded POI files will contain extended address information (i.e. not truncated). This wasn't very clear to me either!
