Hi,
I have a Kenwood unit model number DNX7340BT. I have been going through the threads and I have not seen many posts with people owning this type of in car unit.
I was wondering has anybody got any experience with the above unit. The GPS side of this unit is based on Garmin and I have been going through the threads and still cannot figure out which POI files to download as it is not a hand held unit and there are not many people talking about this unit.
I am trying to input POI files and change the vehicle icons on the system. Much appreciated if anyone has any input on how this is done.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have the 5240BT and have successfully install speed camera database from this site.
Follow instructions to use POI loader and then burn the resulting POI folder onto a CD in a folder named 'Garmin'. Place in unit and switch to NAV mode, follow prompts and all will be well

| To upgrade the maps you can either purchase a kenwood branded map update disc or you can plug the mini-usb connector from the back of the unit into your PC and upgrade using mapsource (this is for DNX5240BT, so I'd 1st check your unit has the connection). Obviously you will need to license the maps to you unit
