Hi, I have a Chinese 7" touchie running Windows CE. I am running IGO PRIMO 9.2 Downloaded Fixed Cameras from this site... loaded it into the speedcamera folder and re-started device. When it re-started i took it for a test spin. All the cameras are in the right locations, but the icon is that of the bus lane icon and the speed it shows is always 66... Any solutions??

Post The 'all in one' Speed Camera UK download - flawed?

buffabill,

I have also downloaded the speedcamera_uk text file from this site and every speed is shown as 66!

It's also a much smaller file than the standard text file in my IGO8, which is called speed camera_GB, this being much bigger and having speeds from 30 to 70. (I've never found a fault in using this in the last two years the length and breadth of the UK).

The directions for downloading are confusing when you research the forums, ie:

Should I delete the original file to replace with this sites UK text file? This will leave 3 files in the Speed camera folder - This first option gives the result you have, (unfortunately).

....or do I add it as an addition for the IGO8 software to update its database? This then leaves 4 files in the Speed camera folder. (??)

I don't know what the result might be but I'm not going to experiment!

Either way, the 'all in one UK speed camera text file' is flawed and needs to be reviewed urgently as we don't have a speed limit of 66 mph in the UK.

Pete

I think that the sys file is incorrect.

Sys file?
I can ask Andrew to fix our output script if that helps.

Post speedcam and redlightcam ICON FIX for igo 9 units
Reply with quote

Hi Folks, i also had this problem with the files when i added them to my Moonar running igo 9. At first i thought that showing a bus lane camera and beeping was better than nothing, but with a little time on my hands i decided to fix it. The fix is very simple open the files in notepad and edit them replacing the ,7, in the speedcam file with ,0, and in the red light file with ,4, and hey presto it all works as it should and shows the right icons for speed cameas. I havent been back past the camera to see if it gives proper voice alerts yet, but ill give it a go tomorrow and let you know.

Speed looks like this:
X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
172.697524,-43.519887,7,50,0,0

change to this:
X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
172.697524,-43.519887,0,50,0,0

Redlight looks like this:
X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
174.763459,-36.84846,7,55,0,0

Change to this:
X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
174.763459,-36.84846,4,55,0,0
