Hello everyone, just joined and installed the speed cameras using the settings as posted in the begginers guide on here, all went well and I can see the alerts on the garmin unit under extras custom POIs.
When I click on one it shows them in nearest location order and I can select the speed camera and the map opens. Fantastic you might think!
I have taken it out in the car and as I live 300m from a speed camera I thought I would drive past it and see what happens. The camera is loaded on the unit but does not show up when I drive past it.
How can this be?

do I have to be travelling above the speed limit to see the cameras?
