Which file format should use CSV OR GPX for my garmin 3760
Hi there,
I have the 3790 and have been loading the BMP, CSV, MP3 and GPX files. I am not too sure if this is right but it does work.
BMP - BitMap Icon
CSV - Comma Separated - Longitude, latitude and other info
MP3 - The sound the GPS will play "Warning school zone ahead"
GPX - Has info like proximity alarms and speed limits
Happy to be corrected here if there are any other ideas.

I have a Nuvi 1490 and I am new to all of this as well.
I have found the GPX files work well.Tthe files that you need are: GPX, WAV (mp3 converted to WAV) and a BMP file.
The names of the 3 files GPX, BMP and WAV must have the same name.
ie:
Speed camera.gpx
Speed camera.bmp
Speed camera.wav

Futher to my reply.
The GPX files can be imported into the mapsource software on your computer. I find this helpful for route planning and avoiding the cash cam.
Cheers
