When using my Navman MY60T I prefer to have the sound muted and to see the time to destination rather than distance to destination. So I have changed the settings, but every time I switch the GPS off and on again, it returns to the default settings, and I have to re-set them every single time I switch the thing on. That woman's voice will one day cause me to throw My 60T into a tree in frustration.
Does anybody know if there is any way of getting her to shut up and for the MY 60 T to remember to keep her quiet?
If you put your device into Sleep Mode instead of turning it off fully, then the next time you turn it on, it should remember your audio preferences. To do this, hold the power button for two seconds, then select Sleep Mode.
I found this problem when i bought my new MY600LMT, found that going into the settings, and find the "device reset" or "GPS reset" fixed the problem.
I had this problem from out of the box, but after doing that reset the device works as advertised, hope that helps even though I have replied over 1 year after posting!
